About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital

Ok so it's not funny now, after a Rapid access appointment at Kent and Canterbury hospital the consultant questions the certainty of your MRI and offers me a us scan to re/confirm Multinodular multicystic gloater and tells me they will see me the week after to discuss if I need half or all my thyroid removed as I have a un diagnosed rare tumour disease, possibly Cowdens disease. 3 weeks later I have to phone and find out they have left the NHS ! What happened to your NICE guidelines? Plus your radiologists cancel my new breast scan and my ENT appointment for a follow up for a possible burst tumour in the ear ! I think I need to complain to someone more official than PALS team as they did not answer the phone ! Now having to resort to posting this on the internet is not only distressing but unacceptable ! Lucky I have children to keep me going because this has been the most stressfull time in my life and I feel completely un cared for and at risk! Am I just unlucky or dose this happen often ? It's three days after finding out that the consultant has left and still no call back!

I am sure we can help you with this - please would you contact PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) on 01227 783145 or 01227864314 or by email on ekh-tr.PALS@NHS.net.

Alternatively you can complete a complaint form accessed through our website www.ekhuft.nhs.net
