"Appointment cancellations"

About: King's Mill Hospital

My experience of the Trust is not good.

Initially sent an appointment at Kings Mill only to be added to the incorrect list and sent home on day of appointment having travelled over an hour to get there.

Then sent to see the correct consultant privately (via the NHS) only to be told they could not do much as they did not have my notes and I should not have been sent the appointment.

Sent appointment for investigation - only to be received on the day of that appointment. I spent 35 minutes and 3 calls trying to contact someone at QMC & Kings Mill to advise them of the issue.

Sent another appointment which was not convenient only to have the same issues re trying to contact someone.

No one seemed to know who it was I needed to speak to.

Now been sent another appointment for King's Mill - and guess what - no one answering the phones there either - another 7 calls and umpteen minutes trying to rearrange..

Yet another wasted NHS appointment as no-one has the sense to provide answering machine services for patients trying to do the right thing.
