"My first appointment"

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

I had my first appointment at Queen Charlotte hospital yesterday and was disappointed. Especially after I had made a transfer through recommendation. had to wait 1.5 hours to be seen although waiting time indictated 30min wait. Because I had wait I didn't get to book my scan in time as the ultrasound had closed by the time. I got out of my appointment & was told to come tomorrow I said it's too short notice so I couldn't to book it. Then was told to take ticket & wait for bloods, the tickets had run out and I told staff member who said its fine to wait without ticket, when it came to my turn the nurse said they couldn't do it so I went back to the staff and told them & they said they could do it - it was not a great first time experience considering it's suppose to be the best maternity hospital in London. I rang the hospital today to book my scan and the person on the phone was rude.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is very concerned to learn of you poor patient experience using the maternity service at Queen Charlotte's hospital.

Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) has passed on your comments to the senior service managers and would like the opportunity to discuss your concerns further.

We would encourage you to contact PALS on 0203 313 0088 or email pals@imperial.nhs.uk.
