What I liked

Everyone cared and wanted our baby, and us, to do well. Throughout a very difficult and stressful pregnancy the standard of care I received at St Mary's was fantastic. Nothing was left to chance, nothing was too much trouble and the knowledge, attitude and professionalism of all the staff we dealt with was always reassuring. We were referred to St Mary's due to my previous history and the standard of care and procedures followed here showed how poor our local hospital was, especially when things go wrong. The new building is great but its the staff that make St Mary's the best place I can think of to give birth.

What could be improved

In terms of health care, facilities and the medical team - cannot think of anything, our overall experience was that good - and we had many opportunities to sample all!

Anything else?

If I had to state something then it would be that nowhere in the new hosptial takes a credit card and there isnt a cash machine for miles! This may have changed now as we were there during its first week, but it was difficult with no cash!
