"Minor surgery but shocked at hospital"

First of all when I arrived at the hospital, I checked in, I wasn't asked to confirm my address etc. Waited around for 20 mins after my appointment time, eventually went to the desk to be told that my appointment was an hour later despite being told differently over the phone. I was very nervous having never had a procedure done before so said I didn't think it was right to be made to wait around. They got me seen quickly after that which was good.

I was invited to enter the operating theatre wearing my outdoor coat and shoes. I feel this was pretty unhygienic. The consultant wasn't approachable to ask questions. The procedure was done quickly and efficiently. However when I was given the copy of the letter to be given to my GP I noted that it said the procedure was on the opposite side of my body to what it was.

Not exactly filled with confidence. Here's hoping I don't get an infection.

The nursing staff were excellent, kind and caring. The rest left a lot to be desired.
