"This is the 2nd time we've ..."

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

This is the 2nd time we've had to bring my mother to A&E, this time after a bad fall at the residential home. She has dementia but the staff were all so kind, so patient and so cheerful with her. It was a busy night in A&E but nothing was too much trouble for them.

Many thanks also to the staff in the Medical Assessment Unit and also to those in the Despatch Unit.

Everyone we met - nurses, porters and doctors - were absolutely wonderful and I really can't thank them enough.

What could be improved

The only concern I had was over the medication she has to have for her dementia. We were not allowed to use her own supply and obviously there was a delay getting it from hospital pharmacy - all sorted in the end, though!
