"Trauma care"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

I was placed on Nason Trauma ward following an emergency admission and spent a week in their care. I cannot fault the staff for their care and kindness to me. Trauma wards are necessary evils! From the person who made my toast hot and tea from my own tea bags every morning to the one who offered me pain relief throughout and at the end of each day and including all the others who never stopped fetching and carrying, wheeling and supporting me, I cannot be sufficiently grateful. The surgeon was efficient, confident and positive, the nursing staff knowledgeable, gentle and helpful, the support staff willing to do everything they were asked. I do not know how they manage to work within the framework of their job which requires more documentation than hands- on care but it is a credit to them that they do. Thank you all so much. I have many weeks of after- care to come, but am so grateful to Nason

Thank you for your very positive comments about the care you received while a patient on

Nason ward. The staff will be very pleased to learn of your comments

I hope that your folow up care is equally as satisfactory and that you will soon be resuming your normal activities.

Kind regards
