"supportive staff and making friends and bumps to babies"

About: Pleasley Hill Children's Centre

(as the patient),

Bumps and babies forced me to attend our local children's centre so I could get my baby weighed and that's where it all started. I have made good friends some in particular who I socialise without the children. The support of the staff has been amazing, especially when I was finding things a bit tough with 2 toddlers 18 months apart. Lianne never failed to assure me that I was doing a good job, she also enrolled me onto the IY course which was amazing, I learned lots of new tricks to help our day to day family life.

I have attended many adult learning courses via our sure start team, currently I am doing a keeping up with maths course which is all about learning how your children are thought maths in school. I am finding it extremely helpful as things have changed so much since I was at school.

Its great to hear that you have received lots of support from the centre and the staff. We have some really experienced staff who are passionate to help families find the information or support they are looking for. We provide many adult learning courses and we hope these will help families keep upskilled to be able to help and encourage their own children.
