"Getting help at the Children's Centre"

About: Pleasley Hill Children's Centre

(as the patient),

We hold a weekly parent led play group and the children wanted a healthy snack but we weren't getting anything from the centre and we also wanted puppets to help us at singing and story time.

I spoke to the staff and explained that arranging snack each week was very stressful, particularly as I have my own children to look after and I was struggling with the singing time without puppets to engage the children. Within one week the staff member had resolved both these problems and every week there has been a lovely healthy snack, there have been puppets AND we have had a lot more support from the staff during the sessions. The parents, children and myself are a lot happier with how the group is now running.

Thank you for your comments I am really pleased that everyone is happier with how the group is running. Its great that there is a healthy snack for the children every week and the story sessions sound like great fun. Keep on asking for staff support if needed, but you and the rest of the parents that run this group are all doing a fantastic role in the centre.
