"The standard of quality care at ..."

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The standard of quality care at Oldham Royal is good and mainly i have been to the maternity department over the last 7 weeks, we are yet to have our baby, i hope the excellent standard carries on

What could be improved

My problem is the standard of care that was given to my mother in law she was in a ward which was very noisy and no respect was given to our mother in law the nurses need to respect that some patients are really tired and sometimes nervous. She was also in our opinion discharged to early, it was good she waput in respite care but she can hardly walk and we think she will be back in hospital sooner rather than later, it's a shame that people who work are not very forthcoming with information about why they think they should leave hospital when within 1 day at respite care the staff said she should not have left hospital.

Thank you for your comments regarding the care that you have receieved from the maternity staff.

We are sorry that your experience was not as positive when your mother in law was in hospital. However, you have not provided very much detail so we are unable to investigate or bring to any one's specific attention. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact a member of the PALS team on 0161 627 8678.
