"Re The New Shuttle Bus That Nobody Seems to..."

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

We had to visit audiology dept. Did not know it had moved & luckily for us somebody just passing we were enquiringly & a chap overheard us & told us about the bus. There are no bus stops to indicate where to wait! And no information as to the route it takes! But we could not have managed without it.

Thank you for your comments re the new Hospital Shuttle Buses and we are pleased to know that you found them useful, although we do appreciate at the moment, there is little information and publicity about them.

The buses are currently in a trial period so as to establish how best we can operate the service, taking into consideration user feedback, routes, bus stops, frequency, and information requirements. We are hoping the initial trial will be concluded within the next week or two and at that point we will be able to carry out an official launch, promoting the buses and providing such information.

The trial run has been extremely useful and our volunteers are shadowing Agency professional drivers for a few weeks to gain confidence and experience. We probably will not have a set timetable; rather the service will pick people up approximately every 10-15 minutes in a loop around the Trust site.

We hope that you will continue to find this a very useful service.
