What I liked

I found all the nursing staff, cleaning staff, porters, doctors and support staff to be extremely pleasant. Even though they were busy at times, the support and treatment I received was second to none.

What could be improved

I would suggest having more nursing staff at night and weekends. These were under extreme pressure and they still had the professionalism of their calling even in difficult circumstances.

Anything else?

The nursing staff could do with more protection. On the ward I was on there was one patient who was violent. However, this was not his fault as he had some problems. I do appreciate that patient care and rights must be protected, but let us protect the nursing staff who on a number of occasions were punched and kicked.
