About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

Dropped off son for an emergency appointment that had been arranged ealier in the morning with the doctor. He was made to wait 30 minutes even though he had anappointment and then a week later I am chrged for this privelage in the form of a prking ticket. Absolutely outrageous fleecing patients and their families. You should be ashamed!!

We were very sorry to read your comments. Parking does have to be paid for by most visitors to Macclesfield Hospital, as indicated by the extensive signage around the site. Payment for parking can also be made any time until midnight on the day of your arrival to help in cases where you stay longer than expected. However, if you feel there were genuine mitigating circumstances in your case, we would urge you to appeal straight away via the details on the Parking Charge Notice. If this appeal is not successful, you may also further appeal through the independent body POPLA (Parking on Private Land Appeals). We hope your son is feeling better and the information above will prove helpful for you.
