"I wanted to thank the paramedic for all that he did."

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a relative),

My husband has been having chest problems since March but on Saturday things took a turn for the worse when he collapsed getting out of the shower. I called the 111 service, they sent a paramedic to us straight away, and he was with us within minutes. The paramedic was wonderful, he realised by husband needed urgent treatment and rather than call for and wait for another ambulance he took my husband straight to the RUH in is car.

Once in A&E he was seen very quickly and was transferred to the cardiology ward within hours.

I wanted to thank the paramedic for all that he did.

Hi Distinct323

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us. I hope your husband is recovering well.

It is always so very rewarding to hear stories of how our staff are providing excellent care to patients and support to their families when they need it most.

We would be very happy to share your kind words with the ambulance staff involved in your husband's care, however we will need a little more information so we can do that. If you are happy to, please could I ask you to contact the Patient Engagement team on either 01392 458831 or plaudits@swast.nhs.uk and a member of the team will be happy to take this information from you.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Sara
