"All the staff on Jasmine suite. ..."

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

All the staff on Jasmine suite. I was admitted after a missed miscarriage to give birth to my son naturally. The nurses treated me with dignity and respect and referred to my baby as baby rather than fetus or pregnancy. They also brought baby to me and allowed me to photograph him.

What could be improved

The attitude of the sonographer when i went for me scan who treated me like an inconvienience and asked me if i had lost my baby down the toilet. I will be making a formal complaint about her.

The hospital needs to be more sensitive to people who have suffered a miscarriage. I was made to sit in a scan waiting room with lots of heavily pregnant women. This made me feel awful.
