"The quality of care provided by ..."

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

The quality of care provided by trainee nurse's,assistants was exemplary. The hospital appeared to be clean and well equipped.

What could be improved

Basic levels of nursing, patiants are individuals, this didn't appear to be a concern of the nursing staff!

Anything else?

I witnessed nurses making patients to feel bullied, intimadated and an inconveniance. This questionaire asks if patiants were dealt with respect and dignity,i regret to say i it was the complete opposite!.My partner has left hospital not because she felt well enough to leave,(she couldn't even walk herself i had to almost carry her!)she left because she had been made to feel an inconveniance/and ready to leave by the nursing staff. Her consultant did not believe she was ready to leave when reviewed. The nursing staff made it clear they disagreed with this.I have grave concerns over the quality of basic care in this hospital.I have read numerous leaflets around the hospital that staff should be dealt with in a polite and respectful manner, perhaps the nursing staff should consider this when dealing with patiants!
