"Nice staff, long waits"

About: The Great Western Hospital

When we first arrived the receptionist was abhorrent and particularly rude and put out after we said that I hadn't used the hospital before. As this led to the receptionist having to input more data onto the computer.

Then after being shown into the pediatric waiting area there were only 10 chairs in total meaning that we had to sit on the floor for 30 minutes before being seen by a very nice triage nurse who was very helpful. However after triage still with no seats available we had to wait 3 and a half hours before being seen by the doctor. The doctor was then very helpful and referred me to x-ray; where again there was a long wait. However after the x-ray we were told to put a blue slip in a tray but "let someone know when you put it in, as it often isn't checked". Which despite following the advice meant that we were waiting for another 20 minutes before eventually being fitted with a sling and given the necessary information.
