I have received a letter 4 weeks ago informing me that the Gynaecology Clinics have closed down and that in future all patients will have to go to Croydon.
I find this unbelievable as these clinics were always full and very hard to get a 3 month appointment. I have to come every 3 months to have a pesary checked for my prolapses and this could create a lot of problems if it is not taken out and checked every 3 months I am now 2 weeks overdue for this appointment and every time I ring
I am told I am on the list. This is really very worrying as I am beginning to get a lot of discomfort and pain at the moment.
I just don't know what else I can do to get an appointment maybe contact my MP or maybe the newspapers. I just cant believe they can close a massive department like this at one of the biggest teaching hospitals.
Yours faithfully
Mrs Margaret Ryder
