About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Medicine (wards 8, 10, 11, 14, 18 & 27)

(as the patient),

I've been a patient of Dr Naismith for two years now and have always received excellent care from him and especially the two Ibd nurses Allan and Seth will go above and beyond for you and always take the time to listen and take the patients feelings into consideration. Definitely makes a huge difference as its a condition I'll have for life, and I'm glad I have the support behind me

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

Dear Ibd1989,

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about the support you have had over the last two years from this team - I will make sure that your comments are passed on to Dr Naismith, Allan and Seth who I'm sure will be really touched to hear the difference that they have made. As you say, when you are living with a long-term condition it is so important to know that you have that strong level of support in place and I'm glad this has been your experience at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
