"delay in report from consultant - over 4 weeks..."

About: Watford General Hospital

On 24th August I saw a Consultant in the Diabetes clinic and was pleased with the consultation and they recommended that I take an extra diabetes medicine of 500 mgs Metformin. and they supplied a prescription for 28 days.

Since then I have sent e-mails to their secretary requesting their report so that I can get a continuing prescription from my GP and they said it had been at last typed on the 8th September and awaiting perusal.

They have now on holiday

It is now the 11th and still no report for me to get a continuing prescription.

This is not very efficient and something need to be done to stop antagonising patients.
