I attended with my daughter who had been diagnosed with having Bell's Palsy and the LRI had telephoned me to tell me that she needed an ENT referral.
I asked on reception what sort of wait time I could expect so that I could put sufficient parking on the car and was told "not long as you are seeing an Emergency Doctor".....two hours later we saw someone (unsure of their actual title/position) but they announced, "I am sorry I am not sure of the reason you are here, could you tell me please as I also do not have your notes"
I work for the NHS myself and was absolutely disgusted at the treatment or lack of that we received.
My 17 year old daughter needed reassurance about this condition and it was not forthcoming.
I do not want to step foot in the LRI again unless absolutely necessary.
I will say that when we reported her symptoms initially that having dialled 111 the service was very good, the ambulance arrived quickly and the paramedics were brilliant.
"Appauling service"
