About: Burns Day Service

(as a service user),

My social worker came to visit me at home and then she brought me to the day centre. I knew about the centre as I stay just round the corner.

The centre is good, it gets me out for the day. There is good company and you have people to talk to. We spend most of our time sitting and talking.

You get a meal here and I like the food.

If you’ve got any problems the staff deal with them. Everything is ok with me but I know they are there if I need them.

The only problem I have is loneliness, I think I would like to come to the centre more than 1 day each week.

I think it would be good to have people who could visit you at home, who would take on board your interests and take you places you would like to go to. I would like to have somebody with me to go and play golf.
