What could be improved

Communication. Nurses spend a lot of time behind their desk leaving Healthcare Assistants to look after patients. No rehabilitation of patients, because they are left to fend for themselves for most of the day. If you happen to be asleep durinf mealtimes, you will miss you meal.

Anything else?

I observed a man who was in the next bed. He asked a sister for a cup of tea, He attitude was one of impatience with him, and she grudingly slapped a cup of water in front of him. He was frustrated that she couldn't be bothered to fulfill his simple request. The man died a few days later. Although his death was unrelated to the incident outlined above, it does exemply the lack of dignity and respect shown to many patients, including myself.
