I was admitted as a planned admission to investigate IIH (idiopathic intracranial hypertension). I was diagnosed elsewhere and have received poor care from other trusts, hence my referral to the NHNN.
All the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much of a problem and all were caring. The staff on surgical reception on Victor Horsely were all welcoming and put me at ease. After my ICP bolt, I was transferred to Lady Anne Allerton, who were really welcoming and made me feel well cared for. The nursing team were prompt with medication despite being hugely busy. I am quite an anxious patient and having a venogram done was really scary for me. However the team in the angio suite were amazing and quickly calmed me.
I'd like to thank everyone involved in my care especially the nurses on Lady Anne Allerton and all the members of the consultants Team. Special thanks also go to the anaesthetic consultant and operating team and recovery team for the bolt procedure and also to angio team.
Would be happy to have further tests or stays if needed at NHNN. Will not go anywhere else.
"Never been anywhere better"
