Had to visit the Urgent Care Centre with an injury that required an x-ray
I didn't particularly like the queuing system to be seen initially and if the unit got busy that could cause problems with people queuing out the door
The GP that I first saw seemed to give the impression that I was an inconvenience to their day, however that is the worst comment I can give for this department.
The Triage nurse was very efficient and he was aware that I was needing an x-ray and sorted that out quickly so that my waiting time in the department was cut short, they were friendly and polite
The X-Ray staff were also quick and efficient and friendly.
The final nurse that I saw was knowledgeable and friendly and quickly diagnosed the issues, gave relevant advice and treated the problem and I was on my way
All in all I was in the department less than 2 hours.
I particularly liked the fact that every member of staff introduced themselves with their first name and their role. It may be a little thing but I found it quite nice to have
"Friendly and Polite Staff / Quick Treatment"
