What I liked

I went in to Longton Day Unit for minor surgery to remove two cysts from the top of my back. The hospital was friendly from the moment I was greeted at reception, right through to being discharged. The nursing staff and surgeon made me feel very much at ease and were very caring and friendly, whilst remaining completely professional at all times. Every step of the procedure was clearly explained to me and I was given clear advice about what to do over the next few days. I was also delighted to see that the hospital was giving opportunities to trainee staff to observe and learn within a very supportive environment. The post-op cup of coffee was a very nice touch. We are very lucky to have such a fantastic hospital with such superb staff in Chorley.

Chorley Hospital is an absolute credit to the NHS and shows what can be achieved by hard working an committed staff who clearly care about their patients.
