"GP Care"

About: NHS North Manchester CCG

(as the patient),

I have had gynaecological problems for nearly eight months. palatine clinic wouldn't do my smear test because of these issues and wrote a letter for me to take to my GP advising for me to be referred for a pelvic scan and gynaecology referral. Off I go to my GP who informs me they will not refer me nor send me for a scan, that they believe I have a case of thrush which after three swab tests has ruled this out and my symptoms do not match, I kindly inform them of the guidelines regarding my symptoms which suggest I should be on a two week referral pathway to which they reply: you're to young and book another appointment to show me the guidelines. I find this totally unacceptable that the gp doesn't seem to know the symptoms of thrush, the guideline rules and listen to me or another health professional.
