"Phone"

About: Wrightington Hospital

It has taken me over an hour to get through to the Admissions Office after being shunted around to several other departments and even being given a phone number which doesn't actually exist!! I even at one point had the phone put down on me (I could hear people talking in the background)!!!

I realise it is a very busy hospital and department but this is really unacceptable service!

I have also been told that I cant be given a date for my operation yet as there are no Diaries released for October yet!! I find this very hard to believe as I actually work in another hospital and know we organise operations more than 30 days in advance so that patients get as much notice as is possible!!!!

We were sorry to learn of your experience upon contacting the Admissions Office at Wrightington Hospital. It is not the standard of service we aim to provide to our patients when seeking information regarding their operation date. Whilst we will be sharing your posting with the Healthcare Operations Manager for information and review, we would be happy to look into your concerns in more detail; please contact the Patient Relations Department when we can assist in providing you with the information you require.
