I am very angry at the minute. My sister is 37 weeks pregnant and her waters broke yesterday, the hospital ent clinic part monitored her as she did not start contractions. the infection number was at 17 which is slightly high. They were fully aware of the situation. She started with pains today late afternoon and rang the hospital on numerous occasions to explain her symptoms, they were fully aware that she could be in labour. She then started with contractions very close together, (3-4 minutes in between) she rang up to tell them she was going in. They kept her on the phone for about 10 minutes knowing that she was in labour before finally breaking the news that there was "no staff" and "no beds" for her. So she has had to go to burnly to have her baby delivered there which is an extra 20 minutes away. They should have warned her or informed her of the lack of beds and staff. I think that this is appoling and this just proves how bad the NHS has really become. I will never trust this hospital again.
