"Call yourself a hospital?!"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital

Went into A&E with painful chest pains, being checked in was probably the only time I felt helped and listened too! Had two EGC'S done, first nurse got extremely annoyed with me due to not being able to obtain results, pretty much shouted and said if you don't stop shaking the machine will not be able to obtain the results! How can one remain calm if the nurse who is meant to be helpful is shouting at you?! The nurse tried again but failed! Instead of peeling off the EGC sticky patches, they were pulled off my skin with aggression as if I was getting waxed!! And told we will have to try again when you can stop shaking! My EGC'S were then taken by another nurse who was much more friendly and calm! Bloods were also taken by the second nurse again all went well, doctor came to assess reason for visit and results obtained but could not find my ECG results which had only been taken! Asked me if I had a blood test taken to which I replied yes, went out the room came back in 2 mins later and asked again if I had bloods taken to which I replied yes again and showed the doctor my arm pointing out the small speck of blood left on my arm to prove my reply of yes my bloods have been taken why are you not listening to me?! It took 3 hours of waiting just to get ECG and Bloods taken, finally having had enough of waiting and having felt very uncomfortable I saw nurse number 1 and asked how much longer I would have to wait and if I could leave, to which they replied 'has the doctor said you can leave? To which I replied no, 'well then you can't leave'! I said I will like to self discharge myself, the nurse got me the form to sign whilst fast tracking the conditions of leaving, left the room and started gossiping to another member of staff! By far the worst experience ever in a hospital! It is my local and I feel utterly ashamed!
