"Eye condition brought up to date."

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

I have Macular degeneration (wet) and after two of the course of three injections, I woke one morning and my sight had deteriorated over night.

Although I mentioned this to nurses & doctors since it was not until I saw the doctor today Sunday, 6th September that they explained what had occurred bringing me up to date with my condition and treatment.

The Sunday clinic was quieter and enabled the staff to take more time with each patient which made things more relaxing for all.

Losing ones sight can be very stressful and sometimes at week day clinics the staff do not always have time to inform the patient of Societies which can give them assistance and aid.

Losing one's sight is lifechanging and it is important that patients receive the information and support they need. We're glad that you have now received this. Thank you for posting your comments.
