I had to pay a visit to Royal Blackburn A+E. First time since Burnley closed down. We were made to wait over 3 hours before eventually leaving the hospital as we could wait no longer.

We saw the triage nurse with the first 40mins and then waited over 2 hours 20 to see the A+E GP for some medication. Eventually, as to sit there in pain and discomfort any longer my wife asked me to take her home and she would visit the emergency doctor the following day.

Despite the "Urgent Care Centre" not seeming all that busy, the patient turnover was disgracefully slow. The lack of communication was extremely dissapointing and the general organisation seemed really poor.

I can;t believe they shut Burnley A+E down, make us travel all that way for care ( 17 miles) and then this care is sub-standard to what we previously had. To say I am unhappy is an understatement.
