As a fairly regular visitor - both as an inpatient and an outpatient - I have nothing but praise for the staff of RDGH. They have attended to all my medical needs in a patient (geddit?), professional and caring manner. As a long term cardiac patient I have found all departments, from A&E to the wards, to the specialists to be of the highest calibre.
Both last month and this month as well as previously the care I received, as an emergency admission, at their hands was comparable to any hospital anywhere in the world. The food could be better, but it's an hospital, not a five Michelin star restaurant!
If I could have any complaints they would be aimed at the board of NICE who weigh the balance of cost Vs effectiveness with little regard for the value of human life. The staff of RDGH are forced to keep to their rules, but somehow manage to give you what you need anyway without overstepping their authority.
Some, for one reason or another, may not be completely happy with RDGH and its staff, but without them I wouldn't be here to give this review/recommendation. Can I say any more?
"The negative complaints unfairly skew the care..."
