What could be improved

I am under the Whitby hospital for Midwifery care which I will comment on separately as that was inadequate due to lack of services thanks to SBC. I have twice tried to call my midwife at the stated time and have been automatically put through to Scarborough where the attitude of the midwives that answered the phone was disgusting!!! Today (August 7th) at 16.40 I was put though to Scarborough again and got a very rude midwife and told me that perhaps if I'd called after 9am I would get some help and wanted to know who I was trying to contact and who I was, when I gave her my name she was incredibly sarcastic and said "well, who's Tania Rodway (snigger)" and who was the name of my midwife to which she sniggered again and wanted to know why I wanted her! Erm SHE'S MY MIDWIFE! This has now happened three times at different hours of the day! I have been warned not to have my baby at Scarborough and now I know why. I have to say all the staff at Whitby are lovely however, but that was not an option for me. I will take this matter further because having to have the baby at James Cook and having a midwife at Whitby doesn't work as procedurally one doesn't operate with the other as they are totally different authorities! I will say that James Cook is an example Scarborough should learn from! Scarborough Borough Council, this is an indictment of our rights! Let's hope mothers only need help between 'convenient' hours!
