"Exceptional care"

I would like to say a huge thank you to every member of staff who took care of me, from admissions, surgery and recovery. Such a seamless transition between them, with all staff knowing what I needed. Communication between the staff was fantastic.

As someone who has never had to be admitted to hospital, my first experience exceeded all my expectations. I felt calm, reassured and fortunate to be in their care.

I'd also like to add, I saw a doctor in an urgent access clinic in South Bristol on bank holiday Monday and was swiftly referred to the BRI surgical ward within the next hour to be assessed. I had my surgery the next morning.

The NHS is outstanding.
