"My son has learnt to love water"

About: Warsop Children's Centre

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My son has been going swimming at Warsop Swimming Group since it started. This time he has learnt to love water, he is happy to go under water & blow bubbles. In the last few weeks he has been wearing arm bands which has lead him to being happy to float around by himself. He then learnt that he could kick his legs to independently move around the pool. At the end of this term he was awarded his duckling 1 award, which got him a certificate and a badge, we are very grateful for this opportunity as water babies wasn't financially viable.

Thank you for your post it is wonderful to hear that you son has been attending the swimming group and has become confident in the water. He must of been very excited when her received his duckling 1 award and a proud moment for yourself.

As we all know its very important that children learn to swim and I know Warsop Children's Centre staff are very commited to ensuring all families have this opportunity.

I am very pleased you were able to share this with us.
