"Mum's care"

About: King's Mill Hospital

It says that staff will introduce themselves and give a summary of the care being given. This doesn't happen. Promises are made as to the care plan but plans are changed and relatives not kept informed. My 86 year old father drove from Newark and paid for parking whilst his wife was being transferred back to Newark. Staff constantly adj for information, record it but never seem to use it to help with patient care. Staff speaking English as a second language are polite and caring. Those speaking English as their first language are as often as not rude and unhelpful. Ward staff ignored one patient's alarm for several minutes today. To me it seem perfectly clear that they had heard it and then ignored it. I asked about help my mu. And the nurse clearly did not know about her.
