I wanted to praise the care I have received with both of my children's birth, which had complications. Both times the staff responded quickly and we're supportive in my aftercare. My most recent, in June, was a painful labour, followed by a trip to theatre, and was upsetting and scary for me. The Dr and the midwives were great and helped me cope with everything. It was explained as best as they could. I also want to say that they dealt well with my emotional state afterwards. Rather than trying to 'fix me' they simple stated that they were there if needed. I want to particularly mention a midwife who was there both times. They were brilliant at finding information for me, and talking to me despite the incredible pain I was in when the epidural didn't take. The number of hours each one worked was an eye opener for me, yet they all remained polite and pleasant. They were great.
