I was at the hospital on 29th August because of infection in my PICC line. They gave me antibiotics but I am up throughout the night because of being so unwell. Rang them to say I would like the line removed aa it is infected.
This should have been done yesterday instead of allowing me home to suffer and have a sleepless night. Hospitals seem to err on the side of caution but for whose sake?
Everything ia carried out as if patients should endure anything without thought of their being able to cope on their own. We are not machines and have thresholds of endurance.
