"My First Injection"

About: Sussex Eye Hospital

I went to the Eye Hospital yesterday for my first injection for diagnosed macular degeneration, and was nervous to say the least.

I was seen by a nurse initally who tested my eyes whilst looking at the familiar lettered chart. The nurse wore a medal and I asked what it stood for, they said they had worked at Moorfields eye hospital for 10 yearsand was awarded it for brilliant service (my words not theirs).

I thought what a good start and I was right as all my dealings with every member of staff there after was superb, kind and friendly.

I will be having further treatment over the coming months and feel confident that I shall be getting the best care.

Thankyou NHS.

Dear Ms Deykin,

Thank you so much for taking time and trouble to post such positive comments about your treatment at the Sussex Eye Hospital - especially at what has been such a worrying time for you.

I will ensure your kind words are shared with the team and know they will be delighted to see them.

With all good wishes for the rest of your treatment,

Kind regards,

Andrew Harvey
