Visited A&E with my baby after being referred by 111. Nurses and Doctors were great and we were out within 30 minutes. Well done A&E lister.
However. The car park is a nightmare, firstly it's a maze trying to find it, then when you do it's very poorly laid out and the corners are extremely tight. I drive a Zafira and could get around but very slowly as the space was not big enough for a family car. It's unlikely you would get a van or large family car around without scraping the barriers, there were lots of marks on the barriers where people had hit them. I also witnessed people having to reverse to get into the right position to get round the corners (myself included) and after 10 years of safe driving with no claims at all I consider myself a competent driver but this was ridiculous! So after spending nearly 30 minutes slowly working my way up to level 7 to find the first space I finally parked to then have the same problem getting down! This 'not fit for purpose' car park is also very expensive. As I was only in the hospital under 30 minutes I would hope to spend the 1 hour rate of 2.75 but instead as it took so long to negotiate the car park and then 10 minutes waiting for the lift as there are only 2 it ended up costing me 3.95. If you don't have a buggy etc it's quicker to use the stairs.
I would suggest a rethink about this car park and reduce the charges it's disgusting!
"A&E great but the car park a fail!"
