"Physiotherapy Department"

About: Mount Vernon Hospital Site

My main concern is that there is no "answer-back" service when one is trying to contact the Department.

Only this week, I wanted to change an appointment and as no one was calling me back, I had to go to the hospital and make my appointment in person which was very unsatisfactory.

This is not the first time this occurrence has happened.

I would suggest pershaps a apart-time member of staff employed to take the telephone calls and arrange the call-backs.

Thank you for providing feedback on the difficulty you experience when trying to contact the Physiotherapy Department. Please accept my apologies that your call was not returned. The Department employs a number of part time administrative staff who deals with telephone calls in our main reception and gymnasium. Unfortunately these part time hours do not cover all the hours during which our department is open. When there is no administrative staff on duty a physiotherapist will usually respond to phone calls when they have a gap in appointments.

I am surprised that your call was not returned and I will look into how this may have happened.

Sheriden Hanson,

Mount Vernon Hospital Therapy Manager
