"Very good experience of procedure that I was..."

About: James Paget University Hospital

I had an endoscopy today after an urgent appointment from my doctors, after I caught viral flu but some of the symptoms didn't go away.

I was very concerned about the procedure but the staff were very reassuring & the one who helped me told me that they'd had one & explained what happens, how it feels, that there is some discomfort but to be honest they were right.

I'm glad the procedure is over & would say to anybody having one who is worried to just listen to the excellent staff, I just had the throat spray & was told I'll have a bit of a sore throat for a couple of days. Although the procedure I was kept informed of what they were doing & why.

Dear Steve

Thank you for taking the time to provide your positive feedback.

I have shared your comments with the teams involved in your care, who will be pleased to hear that they were able to reduce some of your anxieties by keeping you well informed and reassured throughout your procedure.

Kind Regards

Amanda Hood
