"Very unhappy with ignorant doctors"

About: The Royal London Hospital

I was admitted on Tuesday lunch time and after 4 hours I had been seen by many doctors and was treated very well.

The waiting time was low and I was happy enough, even if each doctor I saw told me my symptoms could be a sign a different thing ranging from panic attacks to a possible heart attack.

Then when I was to be taken upstairs to stay overnight, I was forced to wait in the "day room" for 2 hours while they "looked for a cleaner to clean my bed area".

While I was waiting, I was still attached to a heart monitor which was making all sorts of noises and not being check at all.

Finally I got into bed.

A night in a hospital is like any other hospital, so I won't comment on that.

The next day I was seen by another more senior doctor who informed me that I needed to be taken to ultrasound for a look at my heart asap.

6 hours later I was told it won't happen until the next afternoon.

At this point I checked myself out after talking to a doctor who assured me that I would be contacted to return as an outpatient to received the ultrasound and find the source of my symptoms.

Just before I did leave, I approached the doctor who brushed me aside with "I can't talk now, I'm dealing with a sick patient".

I have just called the hospital to change my address (to make sure I would receive the letter), at which point they told me that I would not be asked to return because I checked myself out.

This is the complete opposite of what the doctor told me and now I feel like he just wanted me out.

I'm not happy, and while I feel well enough to not take up a bed in the hospital I agree that further checks on my heart are required.

Something it looks like is just not happening now.

I have never met a doctor who either had no idea how the system works.

I am not happy with this situation and am not pleased by the idea that I will have to return and go through all of the basics again to receive the treatment I was promised as an outpatient.
