The carers from Alpha come every morning to help me shower, dress and give me breakfast. They make sure I don’t fall. I have a 30min slot and I try to help them as much as I can. At the moment I also have 15mins at lunch as I had a fall recently and need help to make a cup of tea. I can stop this visit when I feel able but they told me to make sure I don’t stop it too soon. The carers come back at 6. 30 to turn down my bed. I am very well catered for.
The girls that come are nice, they are generally the same girls and they come at the same time.
The thing I disagree with is the girls can’t pick up a message for you. If you want this service you need to pay extra even if all you want is a newspaper or a stamp. The girls also need to phone the office when they arrive at my house and again when they leave. It seems like the office don’t trust them and this is not nice.
