"Keeping busy keeps you young"

About: Burns Day Service

(as a service user),

I come to the day centre two dayS a week. I still live alone and don’t have carers but I have my son to help me out. I also go to a singing club on a Thursday and live only one bus stop from Irvine Harbour so like to go out there.

I quite like the day centre, there are always different things on. I like the variety, you’re not stuck doing one thing. I like music and singing.

The staff are very nice, they are helpful and always thinking of new things to do. The food is good and there are lots of people to talk to.

I’m 92 this year but I think if you keep doing things and keep busy it keeps you young.
