"I have been referred to the Gynaecology ..."

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I have been referred to the Gynaecology ward over the past 4 years due to ectopic pregnancies and miscarriage, most recently in June 2009.

Every time I have been on ward G1 I have been treated with sensitivity and an urgency that I had not expected.

The nursing staff and doctors are exceptional in their care and despite the time pressures they face I have always been seen within 2 to 3 hours. For example yesterday I was referred by my GP and I walked in an 11am, by 1.30pm I had had bloods and other tests done as well as an internal scan. I walked away having seen the beating heart of my baby (this being the first time this has happened) and a picture of my baby to be, at no cost may I add!

So people who complain about the NHS should go and live in country that has no national health care or just STOP the moaning!

What could be improved

Maybe a separate waiting area for patients who do not wish to be among people with children. Especially like myself if going through a traumatic pregnancy.

Anything else?

All the staff on Wards F & G are total super stars! Keep up the good work!
