"Physiotherapy Dept"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

When I arrived for my appointment for physiotherapy, for the specified time slot, I was made to wait for an hour after that appointed time to be seen. The attitude towards my appointment was loose; as if it was something that could happen whenever and not the help at reception or a single member of staff there saw fit to tell me either how long a wait I approximately had, or that I would have to wait for any reason (e.g. they were behind schedule, a more urgent appointment had come up, they had accidentally double-booked and the other patient arrived before myself). Neither did they apologise.

I found this conduct not only rude, but unprofessional.

I am also unsure but hold the suspicion that it may have been a lax attitude, due to my age; I know of another person whom attended appointments at the same clinic here, for months, and never had such treatment of themselves whom is younger than myself and their appointments were treated as such. I have work and numerous other things I need to do, so waiting unexpectedly in a medical scenario was unhelpful.

I thought to write this review in hopes that this behaviour in regards to people's welfare, which I find disgusting, or at least in regards to nonprofessional behaviour, be looked at and hopefully fixed, if there is such an issue. If they(the staff) saw no reason to explain and felt no need to apologise, it suggests this is a somewhat common occurrence.

If this was a one time occurrence,

I would like an explanation, but realise it is unlikely.
