"Primrose Breast Care Centre"

having been referred to the breast care clinic after a routine scan I was quite nervous about my visit today. As I am 72 I had had to make an appointment for the scan as I am no longer called on a routine basis. Coming into the Primrose unit is a calming experience and from the booking in, however nervous one feels, the staff are totally human and kind and are able to put one at ease.

Hopefully after numerous breast scans and an ultrasound scan the doctor looking after me felt that there was nothing wrong but made it clear that several specialists were involved in the final decision and that maybe further investigations might have to take place.

I was left with the overwhelming impression that this teamwork was working for me and achieving a very high standard of personalised care.

Maybe I might be called back but I know that I will approach it with less trepidation than I did today.
