After a smooth process going through A&E to the ward where the nurses were brilliant, I was sent for a CT scan on day two and seen afterwards by the consultant who told me a lump had shown up on the scan and they would like me to stay in an extra day to have a biopsy done.
I stayed the extra day and at approx. midday another consultant and their junior doctor came to me and the consultant after asking me a few questions said I could go home. The junior doctor pointed out to the consultant about the scan and needing a biopsy but all they said was that this was an incidental finding and they did not need to do anything about it and I was discharged.
The discharge consultant name on my paperwork is wrong as this is the consultant that wanted me to stay in. There is no mention of the scan or the lump found on my discharge paperwork. I am left not knowing if this lump is cancerous or not. This is worrying.
